Golf Committee News Corner
Golf Committee:
As
reported earlier Mr. Michael Bly resigned from the Golf Committee, please
welcome Mr. Bill Bok to the open seat. Bill has been brought up to speed on all
current short term and long-term projects and goals. Bill will be asset to the
committee and the club.
On the reverse side, Mr. Larry Mattey,
long time and valued member of the Golf Committee has tendered his resignation
effective April 30, 2024. We will miss Larry’s input and insight. We all want
to see Larry back to playing golf, the game he remains quite good at. Obviously
this opens another seat I will urge the nominating committee to actively begin
their duty / search.
SVGC Improvement Fund
Golf Outing Committee:
This
committee would like to welcome its newest addition, Mr. Logan Dawes, Logan
joins Alan Eakle, Brandon Borden, Craig Elam, Joel Smith & Myself. Logan is
a very capable and high-energy young man that will do a great job.
The committee held its 1st
meeting for this year’s event yesterday, this event is a highly popular event
at SVGC, we intend to hold that high standard again and maybe add a surprise or
two. Remember May 23rd is the event date with limited participants
sign up early. Par 3 witnesses / volunteers needed.
SVGC Capital Fund:

Annual
fees have been processed by the club, these fees will appear on your May statement,
payment due date May 31, 2024.

Hole
13 is progressing nicely, thanks to Paul Double & Crew.
·
I
personally check occasionally on new Hole Signs, they are looking great
hopefully Paul will be installing soon.
·
Cart
path project is moving along, TAR Inc., is plowing forward.
·
We
will be introducing (soon) an opportunity to show your club support. This
opportunity will add a personal touch and high class addition to the course at
a reasonable investment. More to come!
